Odaily: Russia's Ministry of Energy has stated that cryptocurrency miners applying to connect to the power grid must apply under the fourth-category power supply reliability level. Such users may be disconnected directly by authorities at any time without prior negotiation. This category was established by government decision in February of this year, allowing technical grid connection in regions where energy shortages have been declared and mining is prohibited. The Ministry of Energy stated that this approach leverages existing energy infrastructure while not affecting the power supply reliability for residents.
