Anonymous Transaction Space Eliminated, All Transactions at Spanish Crypto ATMs Now Require Mandatory Identity Verification
Odaily reports that the Spanish government approved Royal Decree 813/2026 on October 8, 2026, tightening anti-money laundering regulations. Under the new rules, all transactions at crypto ATMs in Spain must undergo reliable identity verification, whereas previously some small-amount physical terminal transactions did not require full identity verification. Operators will be given an 18-month transition period to deploy advanced electronic identity verification systems.
