210 million APT Permanently Staked, Aptos Foundation Locked Tokens Account for 37%

Odaily reports that according to Aptos monitoring, the Aptos Foundation has committed to locking and permanently staking 210 million APT, approximately 37% of the APT it held at the time of its mainnet launch. These tokens will not be sold or distributed. Foundation operations will be supported by the staking rewards generated from these tokens, rather than by selling the locked tokens themselves. Aptos stated that more updates will be released in the future, along with a complete tokenomics update.
