SBI Holdings Completes Full Acquisition of Crypto Exchange Bitbank

Odaily reports: Japanese crypto asset exchange Bitbank has announced that SBI Holdings has completed its full acquisition, making Bitbank an official wholly-owned subsidiary of SBI Holdings. The transaction was completed through procedures including Bitbank's buyback of its own shares from MIXI and Ceres. Following the completion of the transaction, Tomohiko Kondo, President of SBI VC Trade Co., Ltd., will assume the position of Director at Bitbank, and Noriyuki Hirose, current Representative Director and CEO of Bitbank, is expected to serve as an Outside Director of SBI VC Trade.
