After completing the rebuild and restart, Velocity co-founder Cindy steps down

Odaily report: Cindy posted on the X platform stating that she will step down from her role at Velocity, and the protocol will continue to be operated by the existing team. She stated that the team built an on-chain perpetual contract exchange five and a half years ago and launched it on Solana in November 2021, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $150 billion.

In April of this year, after Velocity was attacked by North Korean hackers, the team reached an agreement with Tether to facilitate the recovery of user assets and rebuilt the exchange after a comprehensive security upgrade. Currently, Velocity has completed its audit and is fully open-source, officially restarting today. The team will continue to advance asset recovery, technical upgrades, and growth efforts.
