Odaily reports that Vitalik posted on X that syncing an Ethereum node can now take as little as half a day, with disk space usage potentially dropping below 0.5 TB under aggressive settings. EIP-4444 and client teams' optimizations to snapshot sync have significantly improved synchronization. Glamsterdam will further improve node sync, as Nimbus's new sync protocol will incorporate related improvements.
