Coinbase Proposes Including Qualified Digital Assets in U.S. "Trump Accounts" Investment Scope
Odaily reports: Coinbase President and Chief Operating Officer Emilie Choi stated that Coinbase is among the first supporters of the U.S. "Trump Accounts" program. Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad said the company has submitted comments to the IRS regarding the implementation and expansion of the accounts, recommending that beneficiaries be allowed to invest in broadly traded digital assets or gain digital asset exposure through funds, aligning the scope of qualified investments with the major asset classes available to traditional IRAs. Coinbase believes that broader, product-neutral rules would help expand choices, promote competition, and provide young Americans with more opportunities for diversified investing and wealth accumulation.
