Iranian Foreign Minister: Willing to Reopen the Strait of Hormuz Within Seven Days

Odaily News: According to the Jerusalem Post, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters on Thursday during the United Nations General Assembly in New York that Iran has proposed a plan to the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days. Araghchi stated that the plan would build on the memorandum of understanding reached between the two countries in June this year, but would only be implemented under specific conditions. He said, "I think it would be better if this could be completed before the U.S. midterm elections. But that depends on the decision of the U.S. government."
