Bitget CEO: Stolen Funds Remain at $351.6 Million, Hacker Did Not Obtain Wallet Private Keys
Odaily News: According to a compilation by community user Sea of Bitget CEO Gracy Chen's livestream response, the stolen funds from Bitget remain at approximately $351.6 million, with no further increase found so far, involving 19 hacker transfers, all from hot wallets and warm wallets, while cold wallets were unaffected.
Gracy Chen stated that the root cause of the incident has not yet been determined, but it has been confirmed that the hacker did not withdraw funds by forging user information, nor did they obtain wallet private keys. Instead, they breached Bitget's internal systems to initiate withdrawals. The platform has therefore suspended withdrawals and will not resume them until the security investigation is completed. The timing for resuming withdrawals cannot be determined yet—it may take as little as a few hours at the fastest, or possibly several days at the slowest.
