Musk: SpaceX AI Project Accelerating, Expected to Reach Leading Position Within Six Months

Odaily News: Musk stated that SpaceX (SPCX.O) will continue to accelerate its artificial intelligence development, and said that if the current growth momentum is maintained, SpaceX is expected to reach a leading position in the AI field within approximately 6 months.

Musk pointed out that SpaceX's AI project has only been underway for about 3 years, while Anthropic and OpenAI have histories of 6 years and 10 years respectively, but the company still possesses the potential to catch up rapidly. He stated that higher AI capability is not always better, and that once intelligence levels have surpassed the requirements of a certain type of task, further improvement yields limited value. Musk also emphasized that the key challenge in AI competition lies in hardware and computing power, as the rapid deployment of large-scale computing capacity is extremely difficult, while SpaceX has already demonstrated strong infrastructure-building capabilities and will continue to improve them.
