Musk rules out slowing frontier AI development, proposes cross-lab testing mechanism
Odaily reports: Paradis posted on X platform stating that Elon, in an interview, ruled out the possibility of slowing down frontier AI development and proposed a cross-lab testing mechanism; in his view, related testing, evaluation, and defensive agents will all increase compute demand.
Gwynne stated that demand for compute leasing has not declined. Elon also said that all equipment for the Giga Texas R&D wafer fab has been ordered, with practical results expected by the end of next year; SPCX has begun packaging. Paradis believes this reflects that CoWoS capacity may remain tight through 2027.
