NVIDIA's Rubin Ultra chip reportedly may switch to 8-layer HBM

Odaily News: According to industry sources, NVIDIA (NVDA.O) is considering adjusting the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) solution for its next-generation Rubin Ultra AI accelerator from the previous 12-layer stacking to 8-layer stacking. Against the backdrop of continuously rising memory costs, NVIDIA is placing greater emphasis on cost per unit of bandwidth and the economics of the overall system. (DigiTimes)
