US stocks closed with storage sector trending higher, Apple down 0.28%

The optical communications sector also advanced, with Marvell Technology up over 4% and Lumentum gaining over 1%. In addition, Meta rose over 6% following the company's launch of its personal AI agent, Muse. Apple fell 0.28% as the company unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro series and its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, at its product event.
