Hunter Biden Responds to Volatility After LAPTOP Launch: Claims No Personal Profit from LAPTOP, Price Now Stabilizing
Odaily News – Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, responded on X to the intense price volatility of the LAPTOP Meme coin shortly after its launch, as well as related "Rug Pull" allegations. He stated that the available liquidity at launch was insufficient to meet market demand, which—combined with technical issues and "snipers" engaging in front-running—caused the price to surge rapidly before pulling back. The price has now stabilized.
Hunter Biden stated that the team's token allocation is locked, no team members have sold tokens, and he personally has not received any profit from LAPTOP. Currently, LAPTOP's fully diluted valuation (FDV) exceeds $1 billion. The team is exploring ways to optimize liquidity and will continue advancing community development.
He also addressed the matter of distributing LAPTOP tokens for free to users who suffered losses on TRUMP, saying that external descriptions of this as a "failure" do not reflect the actual situation, and emphasized that the project will continue to move forward in the long term.
