Bonk Guy: Has Shifted His Bearish View on Solana, Now Turning Bullish
Odaily News: Bonk Guy posted on X, stating that he had previously held a pessimistic view of Solana, even writing an analysis favoring Robinhood and BNB Chain, arguing that Solana would lose significant market share and attention in this cycle. Recently, however, his stance has begun to shift toward a bullish outlook on Solana and its ecosystem.
Bonk Guy believes that Solana has recently re-embraced the "trench" culture and has started to more actively promote community projects. Meanwhile, Solana's management proactively reached out to him to better understand how to align with the community and the "trench" ecosystem. Additionally, Solana officials and core members have recently begun to actively acknowledge ecosystem projects such as $STONK and $USELESS.
These changes are not merely positive for a specific token, but rather reflect a top-down cultural shift within Solana, as well as management taking the initiative to address issues within the ecosystem. He emphasized that his past criticism of Solana was never about its technology or infrastructure, but rather about the ecosystem culture and the impact of "extractors" on new projects and users within Solana.
Bonk Guy also revealed that his originally planned long-form analysis—which was bearish on Solana and bullish on Robinhood and BNB Chain—will first be shared with Solana for reference. Given the recent developments that have made him more optimistic, he may adjust his views and ultimately publish a more balanced analysis.
Bonk Guy concluded: "My Solana bias is changing."
