Polymarket Launches "Squads," Combining Group Chat with Prediction Market Trading

Odaily News: Prediction market platform Polymarket has announced the launch of a new social feature called Squads, available on the US version of the Polymarket app, which allows users to create private groups to discuss markets, share positions and portfolios with friends, and trade directly on events of shared interest.

Users can view other members' trading activity within Squads and follow trades directly from shared positions or portfolios. Each member still trades independently through their own Polymarket account. Polymarket stated that this move aims to integrate market discussions, typically occurring in group chats, with trading actions onto a single platform.

The launch of Squads coincides with the debut of its first football season marketing campaign, "Polymarket HQ," directed by Peter Berg and featuring sports and cultural figures such as LeBron James, Eli Manning, Derek Jeter, and Spike Lee. Previously, Polymarket had already launched Polymarket Perps, which supports trading on the price movements of assets including cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, and indices. (PRNewswire)
