Samsung and SK Hynix's memory chip inventory has dropped below a 10-day supply
Odaily News – "White-Haired Stock God" Serenity cited KB Securities' latest report on memory on X. In the report, Kim Dong-won, head of research at KB Securities, stated: "As of the third quarter, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix's memory chip inventory has fallen below 10 days, which goes beyond the scope of mere demand recovery — the available supply could very likely become absolutely insufficient. Therefore, the possibility of sellable memory products being exhausted next year may become a reality."
Serenity remarked on this, asking: In what other industry... can you see all investors cheering for "stockouts" and "price hikes"? In short: Against the backdrop of robust demand triggering shortages and a rising share of infrastructure capital expenditure, the outlook for the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) as well as related targets such as Micron and SanDisk could be quite optimistic through 2027.
