Palo Alto Networks acquires AI agent startup Console for $500 million

2026-09-03 12:23

Odaily News: Cybersecurity giant Palo Alto Networks has announced the acquisition of AI agent startup Console for $500 million in a cash-and-stock deal. Founded in 2024, Console leverages AI agents to automate tasks such as password resets, application permission provisioning, and routine IT troubleshooting. Its clients include Ramp, Flock Safety, and Scale AI. Palo Alto Networks plans to integrate Console into its AI-driven security platform Cortex, enabling security teams to investigate and respond to security alerts through natural language, thereby achieving more automated enterprise security operations.

It is reported that this marks Palo Alto Networks' seventh acquisition this year, following its acquisition of Chronosphere at a valuation of $3.35 billion and the purchase of cybersecurity startup Koi for $400 million. (TechCrunch)
