BIP-110 Fork Chain Stalls After Mining Only 2 Blocks, Now Over 80 Blocks Behind Bitcoin Mainnet

Odaily News: The BIP-110-supporting Bitcoin minority fork chain split at block height 961,632, and stalled after mining only 2 blocks in approximately 8 hours. It is now over 80 blocks behind the Bitcoin mainnet.
The fork chain inherited Bitcoin's current difficulty, but only approximately 2.53% of recent blocks signaled support for BIP-110, far below the 55% activation threshold required to avoid a fork. Bitcoin only adjusts difficulty every 2,016 blocks, and based on current hash rate, it is estimated that this chain would need approximately 350 days to complete its next adjustment.
BIP-110 proposes to temporarily prohibit the inscription of non-financial data such as images and text in Bitcoin transactions. Michael Saylor stated that approximately 99.85% of Bitcoin's hash power remains on the mainnet; since both chains accept identical transactions, transactions on the minority chain could potentially be replayed onto the Bitcoin mainnet.
