AI Fund Situational Awareness Bets Big with $400 Million Injection, AI Stock Guru Returns to the Investment Stage
Odaily News, according to Gelonghui citing informed sources, after AI fund Situational Awareness faced a crisis last week due to margin calls from multiple Wall Street lenders, founder Leopold Aschenbrenner has returned to the investment market and injected an additional $400 million into a private company.
The report states that this investment, completed on Tuesday, marks Aschenbrenner's first major investment move since the fund's liquidity crisis. Previously, Situational Awareness had invested $100 million in the same company last month, bringing cumulative investment to $500 million after this latest injection.
It remains unclear which specific private company received the investment. Earlier, Situational Awareness drew market attention for its heavy allocation to AI-related assets, and the fund faced significant pressure during market volatility in July.
