OpenAI: Multiple Adjustments Made to GPT-5.6 After Consultations with Trump Administration

Altman said that in the weeks leading up to GPT-5.6's full release, OpenAI engaged in collaborative, two-way communication with senior U.S. officials, including Commerce Secretary Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Bessent.
