OpenClaw announces the establishment of a foundation to ensure OpenClaw remains open and independent

Odaily reported that OpenClaw announced the establishment of a foundation in an official blog post, stating that OpenClaw is now a formally registered U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the global community. The foundation exists to protect OpenClaw and ensure it remains open and independent. The foundation's purpose is to ensure good governance, stable funding, and compensation for personnel who maintain the foundation's operations.

The article also stated that the foundation's goal is to make OpenClaw the Switzerland of the AI field—a neutral platform where all models and labs can access this technology and jointly set standards in the age of intelligent agents. Currently, the foundation has convened multiple committees to work on topics including agent identity, agent profiles, evaluations, and enterprise deployment.

It is reported that the OpenClaw foundation has a total of 20 initial team members.
