US Central Command: US Military Strikes Iranian Missile and Drone Storage Facilities and Coastal Radar Stations
According to the U.S. Central Command, on June 26, the U.S. military conducted strikes against Iran in response to an attack on a merchant vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz the previous day. On June 25, Iran used a one-way attack drone to strike the "Ever Lovely" cargo ship. In response, U.S. warplanes subsequently targeted Iranian missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar stations.
The U.S. Central Command stated that the Iranian military's actions against merchant vessels violate the ceasefire agreement and undermine freedom of navigation. U.S. Central Command forces will continue to coordinate and provide support for the safe passage of merchant vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining a presence and vigilance to ensure compliance and enforcement of the various agreements reached with Iran.
