Quantum Threat Escalates: Google Research Claims Bitcoin Can Be Cracked in 9 Minutes
Odaily News Google's Quantum AI team's latest research indicates that by optimizing Shor's Algorithm, with approximately 500,000 physical qubits, Bitcoin private key derivation can be completed within about 9 minutes. This time is already close to the block generation cycle, presenting a realistic attack window.
The research also points out that approximately 6.9 million BTC are at potential risk due to exposed public keys, as quantum attacks are transitioning from theory to the engineering phase.
It is reported that ByteVault, a post-quantum hardware wallet under US-based ChainXGlobal, has been officially launched and is available for global sales. It has also been integrated into the ChainX Vault application, providing quantum-secure asset management solutions.
