Polygon: Plans to Reclaim Up to $1 Million in Base Fee to Optimize Agent-to-Agent Transactions

2026-02-13 02:10

Odaily News Polygon posted on X that scaling Agentic Commerce (where AI agents autonomously complete commercial transactions and payments) requires frictionless, instant, and predictably near-zero-fee payments. The PIP-82 proposal suggests using the Polygon x402 Facilitator to reclaim up to $1 million in base fee to accelerate transactions between agents, further reducing AI agent costs.

It is reported that Polygon holds a significant share in Agentic Commerce and has processed several key AI agent transactions. For example, OpenClaw completed the first fully autonomous AI-to-AI commercial transaction on Polygon (automated listing, pricing, negotiation, execution, and payment collection).
