21hours ago

According to Odaily Planet Daily, stablecoin issuer Tether disclosed in its second quarter 2025 report that its U.S. Treasury holdings reached $127 billion, surpassing South Korea's $124.2 billion, making it the world's 18th largest holder of U.S. Treasury bonds. This figure represents a $7 billion increase from the first quarter, comprising $105.5 billion in direct holdings and $21.3 billion in indirect holdings.

Tether's USDT supply has grown by $26 billion since the beginning of the year, bringing its market capitalization to $163.6 billion, up nearly 19% year-to-date. This reflects the continued rise in global demand for dollar-denominated stablecoins. (Cointelegraph)
