According to Bilal Bin Saqib, Pakistan's Minister of State for Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Affairs, Pakistan's demographic structure makes it a major catalyst for the popularity of Bitcoin, and is expected to allow the country to "leapfrog" beyond developed countries. "Global policies have shifted, not only in Pakistan, but around the world," Bin Saqib said in an interview. The Pakistani government began regulating cryptocurrencies in November 2024.
