Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, accused JPMorgan Chase's new data access policy of affecting its services. It is reported that JPMorgan Chase is trying to limit Gemini users' free access to their banking data through third-party fintech platforms such as Plaid, and the relevant measures may be anti-competitive behavior, which will in turn harm fintech and cryptocurrency companies.
Tyler Winklevoss pointed out that the dispute between him and JPMorgan Chase originated from a recent report by Bloomberg, which revealed that JPMorgan Chase decided to charge fintech companies for accessing customer bank data, and criticized that this move would lead to the bankruptcy of fintech companies that support and service cryptocurrency purchase transactions, and it was precisely because of this view that "angered" JPMorgan Chase. Tyler Winklevos also disclosed that the services involving Gemini had been taken offline in the "Operation ChokePoint 2.0" action. (DL News)
