10hours ago

According to the 8‑K document released by SharpLink Gaming, Inc. in July 2025, former BlackRock executive Joseph Chalom was appointed as the company's co-CEO, effective July 24, 2025. Joseph Chalom previously helped launch BlackRock Bitcoin Spot ETF IBIT, BlackRock Ethereum Spot ETF ETHA and BUIDL (the first tokenized Treasury bond fund on Ethereum). Current CEO Rob Phythian will share this position with Chalom. Chalom's new employment agreement is as follows: annual salary of $750,000, target bonus of 100% of annual salary, $7 million in signed restricted stock units (RSU) (2/3 of which are time-based and 1/3 are performance-based), and a long-term incentive plan (LTIP) of no less than $4 million in fiscal year 2026. It is "double-triggered" and immediately vested when a change of control (CIC) is triggered, and enjoys a severance pay of twice the annual salary and bonus. From SharpLink's perspective, the expected total cost of hiring Joseph Chalom is at least approximately $12.5 million.
