BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF management fee income exceeds S&P 500

2025-07-03 00:18

Odaily News According to the latest data from Bloomberg, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has an estimated annual management fee income of $187.2 million and an asset under management (AUM) of $52 billion. In comparison, its other famous product, iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV), has $624 billion in assets under management, but with a fee rate of only 0.03%, its annual fee income is approximately $187.1 million, slightly lower than IBIT.
Since its launch in January 2024, IBIT has continued to attract money every month and has now become the largest spot Bitcoin ETF in the market. Although its asset size is far less than that of IVV, its high fee rate of 0.25% has brought higher management fee income. The difference in fees reflects the additional costs of Bitcoin ETFs in supervision, custody and operational complexity. (CoinDesk)
