Aave launches Sony-backed Ethereum L2 blockchain Soneium

Odaily News Aave, a decentralized financial platform, announced the launch of Soneium, an Ethereum L2 blockchain supported by Sony, and will participate in liquidity incentive programs including the Astar chain. The Soneium ecosystem has gathered more than 7 million users and mainstream protocols such as Uniswap v4 and Lido. The two parties are exploring the use of Aave's overcollateralized stablecoin GHO for payment, savings and e-commerce scenarios. Aave founder Stani Kulechov said that Soneium's consumer-oriented positioning and Sony's global brand influence provide Aave with an excellent opportunity to attract mainstream users.
