Filecoin Foundation and Lockheed Martin collaborate to successfully transmit data in space using IPFS

The test was conducted on a satellite orbiting the Earth. Marta Belcher, president of the Filecoin Foundation, said that IPFS can effectively reduce the latency of space data transmission by addressing content and obtaining data from the most recent copy.
