Odaily News According to official news, Pudgy Penguins announced integration with the Walrus protocol to store and manage its growing digital media library, including stickers and GIFs for product and community experiences. The team will use 1TB of decentralized storage through Tusky (Walrus' user-friendly file management tool) and plans to expand to 6TB in the next 12 months.
Pudgy Penguins previously used centralized storage solutions, which faced challenges with long-term access and consistency with decentralized principles. Walrus solves these problems by providing permanent, decentralized storage, ensuring that assets are always accessible and verifiable. Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz said Walrus enables his team to easily upload, organize and share content.
Walrus is a decentralized data storage protocol based on Sui, and Tusky, as an important partner in its ecosystem, enables the team to manage access rights and version control without deep technical knowledge. This collaboration lays a foundation for Pudgy Penguins to have more consistent, reliable and scalable content management, while demonstrating the potential of decentralized storage in practical applications.
