Odaily News Paul Atkins, the new chairman of the U.S. SEC, said at the third crypto roundtable: "Today's roundtable discussion focused on the challenges faced by SEC registrants when trying to safely keep crypto assets for clients in accordance with federal security laws. Amending custody rules under the Securities Exchange Act, the Investment Advisers Act, or the Investment Company Act to accommodate crypto assets is a special brokerage business. Is the so-called system feasible for market participants, or is a new crypto asset broker-dealer framework needed?"
