In order to avoid liquidation, the whale who was long on ETH through revolving loans sold 5,094 ETH again, exchanging them for about 7.49 million USDT at an average price of $1,471 to repay the loan, reducing the liquidation price of the Aave position to $1,246.
Previously, on March 11, the whale also sold 25,800 ETH when ETH plummeted, realizing a loss of up to $31.75 million in a single transaction. The two operations cumulatively resulted in a loss of about $40 million in ETH.
It is reported that the whale built a position of ETH through leverage at an average price of US$3,084 in July 2024. It currently still holds about 30,000 ETH on Aave, and the risk remains high.
