WEEX K-line abnormality handling follow-up: full compensation plus 1 million WXT and $1 million experience bonus airdrop
Odaily News WEEX Weike Exchange announced that from 00:00 to 01:08 (UTC+8) on March 5, the ETH/USDT trading pair had abnormal K-line and execution delays. The reason was that some nodes of the trading server deployed a large number of trading pairs. When settling funds, the nodes needed to process the calculation of funds for all currency pairs within 1 second, resulting in a sudden increase in memory usage, which caused anomalies. After the accident, WEEX immediately optimized the logic of fund settlement, implemented staggered settlement, expanded and sharded the nodes, dispersed the number of currency pairs loaded on a single node, and checked similar weak points one by one. After the failure, WEEX located the problem within 15 minutes, repaired it within 25 minutes, issued an announcement within 45 minutes and promised 100% full compensation, and allocated 10 million USDT compensation funds in the first batch. In addition to full compensation, WEEX will issue a total of 1 million WXT and 1 million USDT experience bonuses to affected users and newly registered trading users before 23:59 (UTC+8) on March 8. In addition, WEEX also launched the "ETH 8U Purchase" event with a total prize pool of 88 ETH for this incident. New users who deposit ≥ 8 U before 23:59 (UTC+8) on March 9, and old users who have transaction records from March 4 to 5 and daily contract trading volume ≥ 5,000 USDT during the "ETH 8U Purchase" event can randomly share 11 ETH every day.
