Odaily News Hackers have laundered all 499,000 ETH (about $1.39 billion) stolen from Bybit within 10 days. Bybit CEO Ben Zhou has revealed that the recent hacker attack has resulted in the theft of $1.4 billion (about 500,000 ETH), of which 77% is still traceable, 20% is untraceable, and 3% has been frozen.
Deddy Lavid, co-founder and CEO of blockchain security company Cyvers, said that some of the stolen funds from Bybit can still be recovered. He explained: "While money laundering through mixers and cross-chain exchanges complicates fund recovery, cybersecurity companies that use on-chain intelligence, AI-driven models, and collaboration with exchanges and regulators still have the opportunity to track and freeze assets."
