US judge holds DOGE hearing on holiday, a rare occurrence

Odaily News A U.S. judge has scheduled a rare court hearing on a holiday on Monday in a case brought by Democratic state attorneys general to protect key federal agencies from the influence of Musk's "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE). The judge did not say why the hearing was held, but on Friday she heard arguments from 13 Democratic state attorneys general for a temporary restraining order aimed at barring the DOGE team from accessing the information systems of several government agencies, including the Departments of Labor, Education, Health and Human Services, Energy, Transportation, Commerce and the Office of Personnel Management.
