Report: Bitcoin mining industry creates more than 31,000 jobs in the United States and contributes more than $41 billion to GDP each year

Odaily News Despite its infancy, the bitcoin mining industry has already created more than 31,000 jobs in the United States, according to a study conducted by the Perryman Group and published by blockchain advocacy groups the Texas Blockchain Council and the Chamber of Digital Commerce.
The study pointed out that 12 states in the United States account for the vast majority of Bitcoin mining activities in the country. Among these 12 states, Texas' mining industry has created more than 12,200 jobs, ranking first.
It also found that Bitcoin mining activity generates more than $4.1 billion in gross domestic product annually and supports local energy utility infrastructure by acting as a load-balancing resource for the power grid.
