Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission holds first virtual asset advisory panel meeting

Odaily News The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) held its first Virtual Asset Advisory Group (Group) meeting with licensed virtual asset trading platforms today. The Group is chaired by Dr. Yip Chi-hang, Executive Director of the Intermediaries Department of the SFC, and its members include all licensed virtual asset trading platforms, represented by their senior management. The Group will provide valuable contributions to the SFC's regulatory policy formulation to further promote the development of a sustainable and resilient virtual asset ecosystem. By working with members, the Group will identify policy priorities and pave the way for market and regulatory development based on investor protection. (Jinshi)
