US court agrees to suspend Binance's legal dispute with SEC until April, both parties must submit reports by April 14
Odaily News U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the District Court for the District of Columbia has approved a suspension of Binance’s legal dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The case will be postponed for 60 days and both parties must submit a joint status report by April 14.
Binance and the SEC filed an application on Monday, requesting a stay of the case, arguing that the SEC's newly established cryptocurrency working group is developing a clearer regulatory framework. The working group is led by Hester Peirce, a commissioner appointed by the new SEC acting chairman Mark Uyeda, who recently proposed cryptocurrency regulatory priorities, including classifying some tokens as non-securities.
