Odaily News New York Senator James Sanders Jr introduced the New York Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Research Act, proposing the establishment of a 17-member task force to investigate the "impacts of widespread use of cryptocurrencies and other forms of digital currencies and their supporting systems."
As part of the investigation, the task force will examine the state of cryptocurrency in New York, determining how many digital currencies are being traded, how many exchanges are based in New York, and how cryptocurrency affects state and local taxes. (Cointelegraph)
