Odaily News Bo Hines, a 29-year-old former Yale football player, will serve as a White House digital asset policy adviser, responsible for coordinating communications between the cryptocurrency industry and the government. Hines will work under the leadership of David Sacks, the new U.S. special adviser on artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency, and is expected to manage a team of 2-3 employees.
The former Yale football player has twice run unsuccessfully for a seat in Congress from North Carolina. During his campaign, he promised to deregulate the cryptocurrency industry and proposed establishing a national Bitcoin reserve. (Bloomberg)
