Tron, Tether, and TRM Labs Assist Spanish Authorities in Dismantling European Transnational Financial Crime Group, Freezing $26.4 Million

Odaily News Spanish authorities said the T3 financial crime group, composed of Tron, Tether and TRM Labs, assisted in the dismantling of a European transnational financial crime group. According to the Spanish National Guard, the criminal group operated in multiple European jurisdictions and provided cash-to-cryptocurrency money laundering services to criminal enterprises. T3 said it had frozen $26.4 million, the largest coordinated freezing operation it has participated in since its establishment last year, with a total of $126 million frozen.
