Hester Peirce to lead SEC’s new cryptocurrency task force

Odaily News Mark Uyeda, acting chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has established a cryptocurrency task force "to develop a comprehensive and clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrency assets." Commissioner Hester Peirce will lead the task force. The focus of the task force will be to help the Commission draw clear regulatory boundaries, provide a practical registration path, develop a reasonable disclosure framework, and wisely deploy enforcement resources.
