NCPPR: If Microsoft decides not to invest in Bitcoin, subsequent increases may expose it to shareholder lawsuits

Odaily News In December, Microsoft shareholders will vote on whether the company should evaluate investing in Bitcoin. The proposal was promoted by the National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR). Ethan Peck, deputy director of the NCPPR Free Enterprise Project, said in a statement that if Microsoft ultimately decides not to invest in Bitcoin, the proposal could put the company in trouble. "If Microsoft publicly and clearly determines in this evaluation that it is not in the best interest of Microsoft shareholders to purchase any Bitcoin, and then Bitcoin continues to appreciate (which is likely), then shareholders have reason to sue the company."
