Odaily News Ben Gagnon, CEO of Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms, said in an interview that Bitfarms plans to place 50% of its future computing power in Pennsylvania by acquiring Stronghold Digital. He also talked about how the new investment portfolio in Pennsylvania provides Bitfarms with the option to enter the energy trading business, and Bitfarms' strategy to enter the artificial intelligence/high-performance computing business by 2026. (Blockspace) Earlier news, Bitfarms announced that it had signed a final merger agreement with Stronghold Digital Mining, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. According to the agreement, Bitfarms will acquire Stronghold through a stock-for-stock merger transaction.
