Robinhood launches desktop platform, adds new features such as Bitcoin futures trading to mobile app

Odaily News Robinhood announced on Wednesday the launch of its desktop platform Robinhood Legend and the addition of futures and index options trading capabilities to its mobile app. The platform will focus on active traders. Chief brokerage officer Steve Quirk said: "We are responding to customer demand for more advanced products and more active trading tools. Our long-term goal is to make Robinhood a major financial services company that meets the needs of all customers." Futures contracts that investors can trade include stock indexes, currencies, metals and energy including natural gas and crude oil, and cryptocurrency futures will also be offered. (Reuters)
