U.S. SEC Commissioner: SEC’s crypto policies and practices are a “disaster” for the entire industry

Odaily News U.S. SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda said in an interview with Fox Business: "I think our policies and practices in the past few years have really been a disaster for the entire (crypto) industry. We have been pursuing a 'mandatory enforcement policy' and we have not done anything to provide guidance, so this is implemented by the court. Different courts have different ways of ruling." He said: "The current situation is that we do not provide explanatory guidance on what you can and cannot do, how you register if you are involved in a certain securities offering, how you are regulated as a broker-dealer, and how you register as an exchange. This is part of the reason why the industry is frustrated." (The Block)
