ScamSniffer: Cryptophishing losses in August reached $63 million, with fewer victims but more losses

Odaily News According to the August phishing report released by ScamSniffer, about 9,145 victims lost about $63 million in cryptocurrency phishing scams. Compared with July, the number of victims decreased by 34%, but the amount of stolen money increased by 215%. One victim lost up to $55 million in a phishing scam targeting proxy ownership. The report pointed out that the number of fake accounts on the X platform (formerly Twitter) has dropped significantly. ScamSniffer recommends optimizing the display of major phishing features and integrating its phishing domain and address blacklists to protect users.
